{Card of Demise} was one of Kaiba's staples. With how fast the game is now its so unlikely your hand resembles what it would look like 5 turns later. Absolutely silly card. Also, I'm pretty sure Card of Sanctity allowed both players to draw until they had 6, a massive risk in the actual game. Card of Demise is a +4 for one player.

Card of demise is at most a +2, ), as it can only draw at most 3, (+3), but it costs 1 card to activate, (-1). So 3-1=+2. I wouldn't say the card is remarkably absurd. It's restrictions are very real, no special summoning not only cuts off a major part of the game but also restricts hand emptying, so you have to do that without demise's help.
